TRAE will transition to a token-based pricing structure on February 24, 2026 at 2 AM UTC. A new membership upgrade will be introduced accordingly with more tiers ranging from $3 to $100 per month.

More Membership Tiers

The new membership plan offers users more options, with tiered pricing ranging from $3 (Lite) to $100 (Ultra), depending on token consumption.

Lite

TRAE introduces the Lite plan for light builders: only $3 per month. The Lite plan is the most cost-effective plan to start exploring AI coding agents and building MVPs that no other AI coding product offers. Core benefits in Lite include:

  • $5 basic usage + bonus usage
  • Premium model availability
  • Sufficient token usage for simple tasks and MVPs

Pro, Pro+, Ultra

In addition to the current Pro plan, TRAE introduces two new plans for users with deeper usage requests: Pro+ and Ultra.

Each plan includes a monthly token allowance, with higher tiers providing greater capacity and access to additional benefits such as early access to selected models and more bonus usage.

If usage exceeds the token amount included in a plan, there are two available options:

  • Enable On-Demand Usage, billed at standard API rates on a pay-as-you-go basis
  • Upgrade to a higher plan to receive a larger monthly token allowance

Membership Benefit Upgrade

More Usage in both IDE and SOLO Mode

Generally, the new token-based pricing structure allows users to access more usage in both IDE and SOLO modes. For typical Pro ($10/month) users utilizing the Gemini-3-Pro model (200K context window size), there is a significant boost in the number of conversations available, with an estimate of 3x increase in SOLO Mode. The actual counts may vary depending on context window and task difficulty.

Up to 1M Context Windows and More Tool Calls

We upgrade context windows, tool calls per session and enable context management across all modes so that long-running tasks remain focused and coherent with flexible compression and summary of context.

  • Context Window Size
    • Regular Mode: up to 272K tokens, depending on model choices
    • Max Mode: up to 1M tokens, depending on model choices
  • Tool Calls and Context Management
    • Up to 200 tool calls per session across all modes
    • Context management across all modes for flexible compression and summary

Bonus Usage

In addition to the basic dollar usage in each plan, we offer bonus usage for all tiers so that more requests can be fulfilled for complex tasks. For Lite plan users, we suggest the most Lite-friendly models for you to better plan your usage.

Migration Bonus for Current Users

Current Pro users are encouraged to switch to their preferred plans before the automatic migration at the end of their next monthly benefit period. The remaining fast requests will be transferred to dollar usage in proportion and deposited in your account. Users will receive $20 additional dollar usage if they manually switch to the new plan, valid for 90 days from the date of issuance.

One More Thing: Free Pro Trial

Alongside this upgrade, TRAE will start offering a 7-day free Pro trial for all new users who add a payment method within 48 hours after sign-up.

All features in the Pro plan are available during the trial period. Once the trial period ends or the usage has been exhausted, users are able to:

  • Automatically subscribe to the Pro plan once the trial period ends
  • Choose to switch to any membership plan (Lite/Pro/Pro+/Ultra)
  • Remove the current payment method and switch to the Free plan

Extension of The Current Fast Request Usage Period

Starting from February 24, 2026 at 2 AM UTC, the new membership plan and benefits will take effect in TRAE.

The ongoing free fast request bonus usage from the TRAE one-year anniversary offer will be extended to February 24, 2026 (March 24, 2026 for Pro users) when the new membership plan takes effect. Users who haven't claimed the offer can still get it through the website or within your IDE. The last claiming time is February 14, 2026 at 2 AM UTC.
